PPD Zagreb grab their first ever SEHA win in Presov
PPD Zagreb have on Saturday evening managed to put an end to their losing streak in away games against Tatran winning their first ever SEHA - Gazprom League game in Slovakia. In the end 21:25 for Croatian champions and a big advantage before the second leg which will be played in Zagreb.
Match was tough from the very first minute with strong defenses on both sides. Hosts opened the match better enlarging the gap to five goals in first 10 minutes. However, 'Lions' didn't give up narrowing the gap to only one before the half-time break. PPD Zagreb were better in the second half slowly opening the gap reaching +3 with 15 minutes left on the clock which eventually proved to be enough for their premier win in Slovakia.
Zagreb have that way made a big step towards their new Final 4 appearance but they'll still have to confirm it in Zagreb against coach Goluza and his guys who will surely be highly motivated to get revenge for this loss.
David Mandic once again delivered an exceptional performance scoring six goals from just as much attempts. Ante Gadza, Matej Hrstic and Marin Sipic added four. Pedro Pacheco scored nine for Tatran while Janus Lapajne added three to go along with as much assists.
