Vojvodina won first ever European title, four SEHA clubs won national championships

The last matches of the national championships were played and four SEHA clubs have won the titles. Eurofarm Pelister in North Macedonia, Telekom Veszprem in Hungary, PPD Zagreb in Croatia and and Vojvodina in Serbia. Besides winning the national championship title, Vojvodina managed to secure the European title as well for the first time in clubs history. Also, they managed to return the European trophy in Serbia after 22 years. 
 
The regular season of the Hungarian League was won by Pick Szeged, still in the final matches, Telekom Veszprem managed to win the 27th league title when they won in the third match of the championship final against their biggest rivals – Pick Szeged. After the two played matches, the score was tied, and the third match was decisive. Besides the national championship title, Telekom Veszprem also won the Hungarian Cup.
 
The situation in Croatia remained the same - PPD Zagreb and Nexe played for the title and the team from Zagreb secured their 31st title. In the fourth play-off final match, Zagreb was better in Nasice with the final score of 28:27. When it comes to the Croatian Cup, in the final match against Trogir, PPD Zagreb won the 29th title.
 
The team from Slana Bara couldn’t have had a better season, meaning Vojvodina won the Serbian Championship, Serbian Cup and EHF European Cup. After two final matches of the championship, Vojvodina won in Novi Sad and Belgrade against Partizan. This is Vojvodina’s 10th consecutive title and 11th in the club’s history. In the two final matches against Dinamo Pancevo, with the best total score, they also won their 8th Serbian Cup title. Besides the two titles in Serbia, Vojvodina won their first-ever European title – the EHF European Cup title. Vojvodina secured victories in the first and second leg matches against Norwegian Nærbø IL.
 
The situation in North Macedonia was very interesting, meaning that Eurofarm Pelister won the Championship and Vardar 1961 won the Cup. Vardar 1961 won their record 16th Macedonian Cup title in Ohrid. After 18 years, Eurofarm Pelister managed to win another trophy, 7th in the club’s history.
 
After 17 years of dominance, Tatran Presov lost the Championship title. In the decisive 5th encounter of the final series, MSK Povazská Bystrica won the Slovakian Championship title. Tatran Presov lost 2:3 in the series and after 1994, 2003 and 2006, they won silver medal for the fourth time in the history of the Extra League. Still, they managed to secure the Slovakian Cup trophy.
