Verkic and Pribak play key roles as Vojvodina grab a win against Tatran
Vojvodina have on Saturday afternoon managed to come out on top (23:22) against Tatran which means Serbian champions are now levelled with the team led by coach Goluza as two teams have 15 points each. However, if they want to stay in a competitive race for position three or even two they will have to defeat Motor Zaporozhye in the final round.
Hero of the day was without doubt Svetislav Verkic with 18 saves, one of which came at the key moment of the match allowing hosts to try to score the winning goal with 30 seconds left on the clock. Nemanja Pribak on the other hand proved to be clutch scoring his first but probably the most important goal for Vojvodina in the entire encounter which put them two goals ahead and basically sealed the deal in this one.
A little less than 15 minutes into the match guests were two goals up but home team managed to overtake the lead quite quickly led by fantastic Verkic as well as Stankovic, Ratkovic and Tomic. However, coach Goluza and his guys were refusing to give in all the way until the end with Grzentic and Cabezon being their best scorers in this one. Jovica Nikolic and Strahinja Stankovic on the other hand netted five each for Vojvodina.
