Real clash, real derby, real fighting mentality. It was tough with both teams playing good on the defensive side of the court. We had a good chance but did not take it. I have to say I'm very happy because fans witnessed a good one today. Match was a good warm-up for us and our fans for February and March and EHF Cup matches waiting for us then.

We were so close but must keep our heads up. We must learn something from this match. I'd like to thank our fans too.

Zlatko Saracevic, PPD Zagreb coach:
Excellent match, quite strong. We experienced some health problems before the match with Vuglac losing the opportunity to rotate the team the way we wanted. We were unable to keep the gap opened and the match was narrow but we won and that's all that matters.

Tin Kontrec, PPD Zagreb player:
It was a real derby. Excellent match and excellent fans. It was amazingly narrow in the end but we ended up being a bit luckier, better focused. They played an excellent match too and I believe their fans can be satisfied despite of the loss.
