SEHA – Gazprom League rookies Motor Zaporozhye are travelling back to Ukraine with a lot of confidence after a 28:30 loss in the first leg of their Quarter final duel against Meshkov. Final decision of whether Motor will stun favored Meshkov or will Belarusians prolong their streak of reaching SEHA final tournaments will that way be made in Zaporozhye in the second leg.

Guests arrived to Brest without pressure and showed they have what it takes to compete on the highest possible level delivering strong, quality resistance. On a few occasions in the final ten minutes of the game they’ve even had a chance to level the game but they failed to do so and hosts, in the end, managed to secure a win.

Meshkov weren’t able to open the gap to more than three in this one which proved how dedicated, patient and precise guests were today. In the second half Motor’s goalkeeper Gennadiy Komok had a few crucial saves including two penalties while Babichev, Malasinskas and Ganchev scored key goals on the other side.

Alexander Shkurinskiy finished the match with six goals while Mikita Vailupau added five for Meshkov. Olekseii Ganchev on the other side netted six for Motor while their goalie grabbed 11 saves.
