Dibirov explodes for 12 as Vardar come out on top in Nasice
Vardar have managed to win the first Quarter final game of SEHA Play-Offs against Nexe in Nasice with 30:31.
Hosts started the match without a left-handed back due to injuries of Buvinic and Srsen while on the other side Ivan Cupic played right back for Vardar. Despite of not having a real right back, Nexe started the match better opening the gap to three in opening ten minutes. They even had a chance to open the gap to four but failed to do that and Vardar knew how to take advantage of it finishing the first half strong with three goals in a row to level the game at 15:15 right before the half-time buzzer.
Nexe started the second half playing seven versus six on the offensive side of the court but it did not turn out to be a good decision with Dibirov soon scoring for Vardar's first lead of the game at 17:16. Hosts managed to get back into it with Fran Mileta netting two in a row to put his team back up. Zivan Pesic and Marin Jelinic later brought Nexe back to +4 (24:20). However, after that Vardar started playing way better levelling the game at 26:26. A few minutes later Gorbok scored to put his team two goals ahead which proved to be crucial as there was not enough time for Nexe to get back into it.
Timur Dibirov delivered an exceptional performance scoring 12 goals while Zivan Pesic on the other side finished the game with seven for Nexe.
