Veszprem eager to take revenge against Eurofarm Rabotnik
Very successful period is behind Telekom Veszprem who have managed to defeat their biggest national rivals Szeged 29:28 and that way, at least for now, secured a place for themselves on top of the standings in Hungarian League. However, now it is time for them to focus on SEHA - Gazprom League where they will play three matches in a matter of only four days.
In the first one they will on Wednesday (17.00 CET) host Eurofarm Rabotnik – the only team which has, so far this season, managed to come out on top against them (26:24 in Bitola).
David Davis, Telekom Veszprem coach:
I still haven't forgot about that defeat against Eurofarm in the first part of the season. Just like in any other match we'll approach the encounter seriously, especially because we're playing in front of our fans. Goal is to finish the year in the best possible way – the team is playing well and we'll be looking to come out on top against Eurofarm.
Arpad Sterbik, Telekom Veszprem goalkeeper:
Every point is important if we want to finish on top of our group. Zagreb and Brest are close which is why we'll definitely be looking to defeat Eurofarm. I expect this to be a good one. They've managed to defeat us earlier this season which is why we'll clearly be motivated to take revenge and finish the year off strongly in front of our fans.
Bozidar Mojsov, Eurofarm Rabotnik coach:
Of course it is a great pleasure to play against a giant like Veszprem for the second time this season. We are motivated and I hope we'll once again be able to deliver a good outing. They are favorites whenever they step out there no matter who stands on the opposite side of the court and playing another good match, like in Bitola back in October, would surely feel really good.
Mihail Petrovski, Eurofarm Rabotnik player:
Goal is to prove everyone that we played a really good match in Bitola, that it wasn't just a bad day for them. Veszprem are absolute favorites but we want to deliver a strong outing. I expect us to win at least one out of final two remaining matches this year.
