PPD Zagreb with another “single-goal“ win versus Eurofarm Rabotnik
PPD Zagreb have on Tuesday evening managed to make a big step towards winning one of the first two places in Group B after the regular part of the season defeating Eurofarm Rabotnik 28:27. This was the second single-goal win for Zagreb against Macedonian vice-champions this season.
In the remaining three rounds 'Lions' have everything in their hands as they will host Spartak, Meshkov and Telekom Veszprem. Match was extremely narrow throughout the full length of the second with hosts managing to cut Zagreb's lead to only one on seven occasions but never levelling the match.
In the last minute, Gasper Hrastnik netted one from the right winger position finally sealing the deal in this one in favor of Croatian champs. Eurofarm's brave team delivered two different performances in two halves of this one. In the first they were not as aggressive on the defensive side of the court allowing guests to open the gap to four (12:16). However, in the second, they were way better having quality support from their goalie Gradimir Chanevski and were very close to at least grabbing a point against favored rivals.
Zlatko Horvat finished the match with ten goals from just as much attempts while Vladislav Ostroushko netted seven for Eurofarm. In the next round Zagreb will welcome Spartak and Eurofarm will play in Veszprem.
