Vida: “Goal is to bring points back home from Presov!“
Two teams which have been a part of SEHA League back from its very beginnings – Tatran Presov and Nexe, will on Monday (18.30 CET) face off in Presov.
This will be their second regional league encounter of the season after Slavko Goluza and his players managed to steal a win away from home on wings of Lukas Urban and Nino Grzentic who have in Nasice combined for ten goals. Every match is however different and coach Horvat and his guys will most definitely look to take revenge in Presov with Jaganjac, Vida and Tomic back in their roster.
Tatran Presov have on the other hand celebrated their second Champions League win of the season on Saturday coming out victorious at home against Eurofarm Rabotnik and it will be interesting to see whether they have what it takes to defeat to quality opponents in a matter of only three days.
Match will be broadcasted on Arena Sport (in Croatia), Arena Sport (in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia), Arena Sport (in Slovakia) as well as Sport TV (in Slovenia).
Slavko Goluza, Tatran Presov coach:
Nexe have a good team and every time we meet them it turns out to be an interesting match. We’re a bit exhausted at the moment and have only a day to rest and work on mistakes we made in the most recent match we played. What’s important is that we play as a team against Nexe and not as a bunch of individuals.
Leon Vucko, Tatran Presov player:
There are very little secrets between us and Nexe as we know each other well from SEHA League. However, every match is different and has its own story. I expect Nexe to come here with a goal to win the match, especially after we managed to defeat them in Nasice. We must prepare well because this definitely won’t be an easy one for us.
Hrvoje Horvat, Nexe coach:
We’re all looking forward to finally playing our first official match in November. We’re still dealing with some injuries but what’s good is that Halil will be available to suit up for this one. Goal is to play two good halves, be aggressive throughout the full course of the game unlike in our premier match against Tatran this season when we were able to maintain the high tempo only throughout the second half. Vida, Jaganjac and Tomic are back and Srsen will remain sidelined through to February as he recently had a shoulder surgery.
Ivan Vida, Nexe player:
We’re still dealing with some injuries but good thing is that injured players are slowly coming back which I believe will help us achieve better results and point us in the right direction after a slow start to the season. Goal in Presov is to take revenge and bring points back home. Tatran are one of our old rivals and it won’t be easy but I believe we’ll come out victorious in the end.
