Rojevic: "We've got to prove on the court why we are favorites against BSU!"
For the first time in this season, Vojvodina will be favorites in SEHA - Gazprom League match welcoming rookies from China - Beijing Sports University who are still in process of learning and gaining experience playing against some of the best sides in Europe.
With 3 - 3 score so far, Serbian champs are proving to be a rising force in the League and the win would bring them to third position in Group A. BSU, on the other side, haven't managed to surprise anyone so far but are showing significant improvements which is, as coach Sola often says, the most important thing at the moment.
In their premier encounter of the seasons, Vojvodina managed to take a 28:21 win in Zagreb.
Boris Rojevic, Vojvodina coach:
We are favorites in this one but we have to prove that on the court. BSU are clearly progressing week after week and are a great refreshment for the League. We have to start the match in the best possible way and do everything we can to secure what would be our third win of the season so far which is above expectations we've had before the season.
Jovica Nikolic, Vojvodina player:
We're coming from a three-week break which was good since we managed to recover a little. We are in good rhythm though but we'll have to be careful against BSU. Despite of the fact match is scheduled for 01.00 PM, I hope fans will find a way to come and support us.
Vlado Sola, Beijing Sport University coach:
We've used the last few weeks to work on the defensive aspect of our game and we're going to Novi Sad to play a better match than we did in our premier encounter of the season in Zagreb. We're not favorites but winning doesn't even matter so much at the moment. What matters is that we grow as a team and improve match in and match out.
Hu Jinming, Beijing Sport University player:
First of all, we respect our opponent. They are strong and on a higher level than we are at the moment but we'll do our best to fight them and show what we've been working on the last few weeks.
