Motor secured three new points and kept the first place in Group A
It was a very tense SEHA Derby between Ukrainian and Slovakian champions, Motor Zaporozhye and Tatran Presov. Hosts managed to secure the new three points in the second half with the amazing performance as the match has finished with the result 29:23.
Motor opened the match in the best possible way with 3:0. Guest's team scored their first goal in the 6th minute by Javier Munoz Cabezon and back on a track very quickly. In the 15th minute, Roman Tsarapkin scored for the first equal as the result was 7:7. Very soon, Motor players had the new advantage as at the end of the first half, the hosts were 3 goals up, 13:10.
The start of the second half was played goal by goal. Slavko Goluza squad woke up and in the 35th minute, Janus Lapajne equalized the result, 14:14. But in the 40th minute, Vladyslav Dontsov secured the biggest advantage for Motor until then, it was +4. Obviously, it was the key moment of the match as Slovakians haven't managed to catch the hosts anymore.
Vladyslav Dontsov led Motor with 5 goals and Gennadiy Komok was simply fantastic with 15 saves. In Tatran Presov's jersey, Oliver Rabek, Lukas Urban, Martin Stranovsky and Gatine Titouan Afanou netted 4 each, while Igor Chupryna stopped the ball 14 times.
Ukrainians will face Nexe in the next round, while Tatran will travel to Skopje, to clash the reigning SEHA and European champions, Vardar.
