Tatran celebrated in Nasice after tough 60 minutes
Old rivals Nexe and Tatran Presov have played the 2nd round match in Nasice. After dramatic match, Tatran won 25:24 (17:15) and secured the first three points this season.
Tatran have opened the match much better. After seven minutes they had three goals advantage (2:5). That kind of advantage, guest team had also four times during the first part of the match. Nexe's role started to grow after coach Hrvoje Horvat changed the defense zone and the goalkeeper. So, after Barisic-Jaman scored from penalty, the result was equal (9:9). Then right back Buvinic scored the goal in 22nd minute and for the first time during the match, Nexe had the advantage.
The last minutes in the first half belonge to team from Slovakia. With first two saves by their goalkeeper Mario Cvitkovic,Tatran's experienced players Stranovsky and Urban scored for two goals advantage before the break.
In the first part of the second half Tatran kept their advantage, while Nexe had three time opportunities for equal. But they didn't use that. And then, Barisic-Jaman scored his fifth goal from penalty for 22:22.
In the last minutes of the match, Grzentic scored in the „spider web“. But in the last 40 seconds Nexe didn't manage to score for one point.
Nexe line-player Mario Tomic with six goals was the top scorer of the match. It is one goal more than Lukas Urban and Nino Grzentic, who scored five each.
