Zagreb speed up in the second grabbing three points in Ljubuski
PPD Zagreb managed to reach another win celebrating a 21:22 win in Ljubuski after a strong second-half performance which helped them seal the deal for three new points in the end.
Match was levelled with neither team managing to open the gap early. However, hosts managed to deliver quality five minutes in the end of the first which brought them a two-goal lead after first 30 minutes. Domagoj Alilovic led their offense in the first with four goals while Josip Kvesic grabbed eight saves stopping Zagreb's seven-meter attempts twice denying both Eres and Bozic Pavletic.
PPD Zagreb have in the second half however managed to turn the result over in their favour with David Mandic delivering a strong performance finishing the match with five goals and Urh Kastelic stopping seven shots as well as one seven-meter attempt. Josip Kvesic and Domagoj Alilovic kept up in the second but unfortunately for their fans it was not enough for Izvidjac to stun favored guests on Saturday night in Ljubuski. In the end 21:22 for Zagreb 'Lions'.
Josip Bozic Pavletic finished the match with four goals while Leon Susnja and Ivan Srsen added three each for Zagreb. Domagoj Alilovic scored six for Izvidjac. Vedran Delic netted five while Josip Kvesic grabbed 14 saves.
In the next round PPD Zagreb will welcome Vojvodina and Izvidjac will host Metalurg.
