Tatran dominant in Novi Sad
Tatran have once again managed to defeat Vojvodina, this time quite dominantly with 27:17 in Novi Sad. Guests arrived to Serbia without Rabek, Krok and Kasal but that in the end didn’t affect their performance at all with coach Slavko Goluza and his players looking highly motivated after a loss against Steaua in the season opener.
Tatran’ defense was looking amazing from the very first minute as they didn’t allow hosts to score a single goal in opening 12 minutes! Winger Alen Ovcina netted the first goal for his team (1:4) but it was throughout the full course of the encounter clear Vojvodina are not even close to endangering Tatran led by Janus Lapajne who finished the match with five goals.
Unfortunately for their fans, Serbian champs were not close to repeating last week’ performance from Nis and when guests finally reached ten-goal advantage a little more than ten minutes prior to the final whistle it was clear the deal is sealed in this one.
Bruno Butorac, Tomas Cip and Jakub Hrstka were, with already mentioned Janus Lapajne, once again in charge of leading Tatran’ attack scoring four each while on the other side Strahinja Stankovic netted five for Vojvodina.
