Can Eurofarm come out on top against Zagreb in Bitola?
Eurofarm Rabotnik will on Tuesday (17.15 CET) in Bitola welcome PPD Zagreb in a direct encounter between teams fighting to reach the best possible position before SEHA Playoffs. Race for the second position in Group B is really heating up as Meshkov Brest have 15 and PPD Zagreb have 12 points while Eurofarm and Metaloplastika have nine. Telekom Veszprem have managed to open the gap to six and are leading the group with 18.
Eurofarm have throughout the season been proving they are ready to play against everyone and they really proved that defeating Telekom Veszprem. Also, a few days ago, club from Bitola went through a coaching change with Bozidar Mojsov replacing Stefce Alushovski after which they managed to reach a Champions League win versus Irun Bidasoa which is why hosts will most definitely be fairly motivated to extend their winning streak.
PPD Zagreb on the other hand need these three points if they want to stay close to Veszprem and Meshkov because ‘Lions’ will, in final two rounds of the regular season, welcome both Veszprem and Meshkov.
A great match is most definitely ahead of us, especially knowing that in their premier encounter this season Zagreb managed to reach a narrow 24:23 win at home so make sure you don’t miss this one!
Bozidar Mojsov, Eurofarm Rabotnik coach:
We all know everything about Zagreb’ history, about all the trophies they won. We will tomorrow host a young and aggressive team led by a coaching legend and I believe it will be a tough match all the way from the first until the last whistle. We’re dealing with some minor injury problems but I hope Milorad Kukoski will be available for the match tomorrow. I hope fans will be there for us and give us that extra boost in order to finish the year with a positive score.
Gradimir Chanevski, Eurofarm Rabotnik player:
PPD Zagreb have a lot of experience in EHF Champions League and SEHA League matches. I hope fans will enjoy this one and that we’ll in the end celebrate what would be a very important victory for us.
Veselin Vujovic, PPD Zagreb coach:
Match tomorrow will be the key one for us in order to finish the regular part of the season on a good position in Group B. I expect it to be a good one because Eurofarm are a really good team. Our task in Bitola will be far from easy since they managed to come out on top in Champions League and are surely motivated after going through the coaching change. However, we’ll do our best to take three points back home prior to important three home matches against Spartak, Meshkov and Veszprem.
David Mandic, PPD Zagreb player:
The fact they managed to win against Irun means we’ll have to be on a really good level in both defense and offense in case we want a good result. We’re going to Bitola with a quite different roster than the one that played in Szeged but with an intention to do everything we can to win the match!
