Serbian vice-champions will on Saturday try to reach their third victory in SEHA Gazprom League in front of their fans. It will not be easy with Tatran Prešov which is lately in great form coming to Subotica.
Serbian team did not succeed in domestic Cup last Wednesday losing 24:18 to Vojvodina. However, Slovak team was also defeated in their last match - CL’s clash against Porto with 25:24.
Branislav Zeljković, Spartak Vojput' coach:
We played extremely bad in our first clash in Prešov. We’ve conceded 42 goals, and lost with 19 goal difference. Our goal is to show what we can and we’re highly motivated to do so. We now have home-court advantage and we always play better in front of our fans. I expect a good match, entertaining for all of our fans.We don’t have many injury problems and we hope everyone will be ready.
Vukašin Rakocija, Spartak Vojput’ playmaker:
I hope that a lot of fans will come to support us. I am sure that we will show much better performance than in Prešov, where we lost by 19 goal difference. We want to show that there is not such a huge quality gap between us. We are surely motivated after big loss from the first clash. We play better in Subotica compared to when we’re on road and I believe that our fans will once again have a chance to enjoy a good match. We do not currently have many injury problems.
Rastislav Trtik, Tatran’ coach:
We have to focus on the game and keep tactics from the early beginning of the game. In Prešov we won by 19 goals but on Saturday it will be a completely new match. Home team will try to make up for the last encounter, but we are ready to fulfil the role of the favourites and prove our qualities We’re ready to prove we’re favorites on court and I have no doubt we’ll make it. I will try to rotate a bit but our goal remains the same - victory is only thing we’re interested in in order to keep up with League’s best teams.
Vasja Furlan,Tatran´s playmaker:
Schedule is really demanding for us in November and we need to stay focused. SpartakVojput is the next rival in the series. We are going to face a tough opponents on their home court. We’ll have to work well on court in order to take points home with us. I believe in our success.
