In a narrow finish of the match of the 1st round in Serbian derby Vojvodina and Spartak have shared points. That is Spartak's first point of the season and second for Vojvodina this season. Vojvodina were in lead and Spartak were constantly chasing result. After first 30 minutes it was 12:12. After that team from Novi Sad has managed to create 5:0 series to reach 18:13. However, Spartak did not surrender catching Vojvodina with 4:0 series on 23:23. In the last minute Pralica scored for Vojvodina's lead and Županjac equalised few seconds before the final whistle. Vojvodina was led by Orbović and Rastvorcev who have scored 7 goals each. Perković had 14 saves. Spartak's first name was Vukašin Rakocija.

Nikola Marković, Vojvodina's coach:

- Very good game and many beautiful goals. Draw is maybe the most realistic result. We are a bit concerned about our game, we were repeating mistakes. I have to point our Ratvorcev who was a great example for younger players today. We have o continue with hard work, that's the only way to correct mistakes for upcoming matches.  

Branislav Zeljković, Spartak's coach:

- We have played really good in defence, our goalkeepers have had only 3 saves today. We did not allow Vojvodina to control the match playing 1-on-1 defence against Rastvorcev and Orbović. I have to compliment Ivan Distol and youngster Rakocija on a really good mach today. This result means a lot for us.

 Bojan Perović, Vojvodina's goalkeeper:

- Opponent deserved a draw result. Spartak have played disciplined handball, strong in defence. Again we were leading with six goals difference and failed to win. We have to fix this problems as soon as possible. To be honest, I also have to say we did not have that little bit of luck you need to win.

Ivan Distol, Spartak's player:

- We have performed much better after two convincing defeats. We knew Vojvodina plays solid in defence and we've found a way to attack them. We did not give up and believed in positive result.
