Meshkov and Vardar secure domestic crowns
Seasons are over in SEHA's Leagues. We now have two new champions - Vardar and Meshkov, as well as Bosnian Cup winners - Borac m:tel.
MACEDONIA: Vardar have in SEHA derby of Macedonian championship managed to beat Metalurg and secure crown in Macedonia for this season. Žarko Marković and Igor Karačić have scored 4 goals each for Vardar and speaking of Metalurg Goce Ojleski netted 10. On the table, Metalurg and Zomimak have the same amount of points one round before the end with Zomimak having better goal difference in their mutual clashes.
BELARUS: Few days ago Meshkov have won Belarus Cup and now they have managed to do the same in championship, also against big rivals SKA Minsk. SKA have taken the lead in series with 33:24, Meshkov tied up with 29:26 and in the last match it was 26:26 with Meshkov reaching the crown after 7-meter shootout. Meshkov's best scorer - Simon Razgor, 7 goals.
BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA: After 3-0 in final series against Izviđač, Borac have, as hosts, in Banja Luka managed to reach another triumph, this time in Cup. Fifth Cup for the team from Banja Luka and third double-crown. In semis they were better than Ljubuški with 32:27 (Vujović, Đukić and Obradović 6 goals each), and in final they have managed to beat Čelik (which was in semis better than Goražde with 38:30) with 29:24 (Janković 9 goals).
That all means we have a season in which SEHA's representatives Veszprem, PPD Zagreb, Tatran, Vardar, Borac and Meshkov have all managed to reach domestic double-crowns. In Serbia Vojvodina has won the championship and the Cup still has to be played, in Novi Sad with Spartak meeting Železničar and Radnički against Vojvodina in semis. So far, very good job by SEHA's clubs!
