Champions League's clash in Zagreb Arena
Repriza Lige prvaka u zagrebačkoj Areni
After their Champions League's duel, PPD Zagreb and Metalurg will once again meet in Zagreb Arena in SEHA GSS League. Few days ago Zagreb was better with 19:17 which means that Metalurg will on Wednesday have a chance to take revenge. This is a really important match for both of them and for their final placement in the League. These two clubs have, by now, played 11 matches against one another. Zagreb was better six times, Metalurg three times less. From six matches in Zagreb, Macedonians have managed to reach a victory only once, last season in SEHA GSS League 30:25. They will enter the clash with 12 points each but Zagreb has played a match more than Metalurg. Horvat, Mandalinić and Ivić will not be in home team's roster while Metalurg's players were, last weekend involved into EURO qualifications and it will be interesting to see which players Lino Červar will choose this time. That is why this will be a completly different match than the one in Champions League in which physically better and more prepared team will reach 3 points.
Veselin Vujović, PPD Zagreb's coach:
Comparing this to a match we've played a week ago in Champions League I believe we can reach victory easier. Considering the fact that we're younger than Metalurg I truly believe in my players. It won't be easy, that is for sure. It is, to be honest, not the best moment for this match for us due to some injured players which means we will not have such big rotation. But, we're lucky to have Lovro Šprem and the only position we have not still tried him on is goalkeeper so I see him as a key player for tomorrow's match.
Lovro Šprem, PPD Zagreb's player:
If coach says so, I can play on the middle back. We've trained hard last week, we have fans on our side and we stand by what we've already stated, that we're only favorites in Zagreb. It surely won't be easy to win, Metalurg has a great team.
Lino Červar, Metalurg's coach:
I see match against Zagreb as a good chance to catch our rhytm again. We would like to win in Zagreb and take revenge for our loss a week ago. It is also a chance to prepare well for the match against La Rioja.
Naumče Mojsovski, Metalurg's player:
We have a lot of work to do in upcoming few days. Zagreb is playing really good this season and that gives us motive to play well tomorrow. We'll do everything to reach a win, I believe we have to get much better in the upcoming part of the season.
