Aleksa Maksic

First month offered us some incredible matches full of great moves, assists, goals and saves. In matches behind us, some players, however showed more than others which helped earn them a spot in our first ‘Best 7’ of the season.

We’ll start with the leader of defense – goalkeeper. It was a hard choice but this time we have decided to go with PPD Zagreb’s own Dino Slavic. Zagreb played one match in which Slavic showcased his capabilities. He finished the match against Tatran Presov with ten saves being one of the key players in their dominant 36:26 win.

Left winger comes from Partizan Belgrade and his name is Aleksa Maksic. Although Partizan ended up on the losing side versus Eurofarm, 23-year-old Maksic was, along with his teammate Nikola Zecevic, the biggest threat for guests. In front of amazing fans in Banjica he played a really good match in what was his SEHA debut, finishing with five goals and confirming that Partizan can expect a lot from him this season.

Right-hand side is reserved for the left-hander from Nexe Nasice – Fahrudin Melic. Two matches against Vardar and ten goals for Melic. In the first one in Skopje, he scored six adding one assists. In the second leg Melic netted four adding three assists.

Playmaker from Eurofarm Pelister Josip Peric is our best centre back in February. Peric scored three goals to go along with eight assists. When it comes to organizing the attack and getting his teammates going, he definitely knows what he is doing and as a result of that he is also on top of the list of players with the most assists so far along with Oliver Nyokas.

Vardar’s right back Yoel Cuni Morales was great in two matches against the team from Nasice. In the first match he scored five goals and in Nasice seven. Against Vojvodina he scored three to go along with one assist which brings him to a total of 15 goals in February. Enough to top the best-scorer list.

Final part of the back-court trio is Halil Jaganjac. In two important wins against Vardar, Nexe’s left back definitely delivered. Five goals and two assists in Skopje and then seven goals and just as many assists in the second match. As a result of that – Nexe are on top of Group B and Jaganjac is the best left back of the month.

Last but not least is Eurofarm Pelister’s line player, national team player of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmir Gradjan. Gradjan went 5/5 against Partizan starting his third SEHA season in the best possible way.

Mentioned seven was definitely shining in the last month with some incredible goals and important saves. We can’t wait for the month ahead to see our SEHA players make some more remarkable plays.
