Victories for Zagreb, Veszprem, Nexe and Eurofarm

Nexe overtake the top spot in EHF EL group C, Eurofarm secure the first point in Switzerland

Two EHF Champions League wins as well as two EHF European League ones of our SEHA – Gazprom League representatives are behind us which means it’s time for our weekly recap!

EHF Champions League

After a loss in Szeged a week ago, Vardar 1961 suffered another one at home against the same opponent. This time it was 27:30. Ante Gadza and Timur Dibirov led Macedonians scoring five each. In the SEHA derby of the Champions League, PPD Zagreb managed to defeat Meshkov Brest at home. In the end a confident 31:24 win for Croatian champs in a match which was far from easy for coach Obrvan and his guys. Ivan Cupic led Zagreb with eight while Zvonimir Srna netted seven. Jaka Malus scored six for Meshkov.

In group B Telekom Veszprem managed to defeat Motor Zaporozhye at home with 36:29. Gasper Marguc was on fire for the hosts scoring nine from just as much attempts while Viacheslau Bokhan finished the match with eight for Ukrainians.

EHF European League

In group A Tatran Presov suffered a four-goal loss against highly-favored German Füchse Berlin (23:27). Experienced Oliver Rabek led them with seven goals in this one.

Another week – another win for Nexe in group C. This time they were with 31:30 better than Spanish Logrono La Rioja at home. Halil Jaganjac netted nine goals in this one including the buzzer-beater which helped them seal the deal.  

In group D, Eurofarm Pelister was dominant at home against Hungarian Tatabanya. In the end 33:20. Mateo Marac and Reinier Taboada Dranquet netted six each for them.
