Transfer Tuesday: Nemanja Obradovic joins PPD Zagreb after a year in Brest
After announcing a few months ago that returnee Senjamin Buric and Ziga Mlakar join the ranks of the Croatian champions, PPD Zagreb confirmed another reinforcement. Serbian Nemanja Obradovic, who played for Meshkov Brest this season, arrives in Zagreb.
In the last few seasons, this 29-year-old has become a real defense specialist. This is evidenced by the fact that he slightly reduced the number of goals scored in Brest, compared to the 2016/17 season when he played SEHA League for Metalurg. While in Skopje, he scored 66 goals in 15 appearances, and this season in Meshkov he scored 16 goals in 11 appearances.
Serbian has changed several clubs in his experienced career, among the aforementioned, he was a part of Valence Handball, Metaloplastika and Wisla Plock. PPD Zagreb is a new challenge in his career that he gladly accepts.
''I am very glad to have come to Zagreb. It is a team that has been on the top stage for practically two decades now. The boys are young and eager to work, which is crucial in handball. We are not the most experienced team, but we will make up for everything we lack with our fighting spirit and hard work'', said the left back for the club's website.
Obradovic wore national team's jersey, as well, at the EHF EURO 2018 in Croatia and the World Championship 2019 in Germany and Denmark.
To conclude with, we wish Nemanja all the best luck in the 'Lions' jersey.
