Transfer Tuesday: Mandalinic signs with Eurofarm and returns to SEHA!
Eurofarm Pelister continues to reinforce the team for the next season. After Peric, Kusan, Maras and Tankoski, Stipe Mandalinic also signed with the club from Bitola. 27-year-old Croatian ended his adventure in Germany, where he played for two and a half years in Füchse Berlin's jersey thus returns to SEHA where he will play under the wing of his countryman Zeljko Babic.
A well known face already left a mark on SEHA courts, in PPD Zagreb, a club in which he scored 271 goals in 73 appearances, a club that launched his career. Apart from these numbers, the fact that, at that point, he was among the best scorers in the Champions League also speaks volumes about Mandalinic's quality. This backcourt bomber before spending six seasons in Zagreb, played for domestic clubs Karlovac and Split.
Mandalinic addressed the Pelister fans himself. On the club's social networks, in addition to characterizing Stipe's arrival as their biggest reinforcement in this period, they also published a video where Mandalinic announces that everything is official and that he is ready for winning titles.
As for the national team successes, he has won the cadet European gold in Montenegro in 2010, the junior silver medal in Turkey (the best left back and the tournament's MVP) in 2012 and the senior bronze medal from Spain in 2013. He last wore Croatian jersey in 2018 when European Championship was held in Croatia.
Along with Mandalinic, another Croat arrives in Bitola. The club announced the arrival of a young and talented Croatian right back Mateo Maras who signed a one-year contract. Before his Bitola transfer, Maras was working on his handball skills under the excellent Balic-Metlicic Academy from Split.
As follows, we wish Maras all the best on his new adventure, and Mandalinic fewer injury problems and doing more of what he knows best – lifting himself into the air and tearing the nets of his opponents.
