Nexe lose in Bitola but secure quarter-final matchup against Vardar
Croatian vice-champions Nexe have for the second time managed to book their place in SEHA quarter-finals. In the second leg they were with 24:22 defeated in Bitola which wasn't enough for Eurofarm Pelister to get through due to their three-goal loss in Nasice. Next month, Nexe will look to book a semi-final spot for themselves against five-time SEHA champs Vardar.
Hosts were close to achieving their goal but did not manage to keep four-goal advantage they've had a few times throughout the second half. However, after leading 19:15 with a little over 15 minutes left until the final buzzer they slowed down allowing Nexe to get back into it and level result at 21:21.Encounter then entered a dramatic finish with Lovro Jotic failing to open the gap to three with less than a minute to go and guests could start celebrating. Moreno Car was one of Nexe's besf individuals in this one grabbing 12 saves while Tomislav Severec and Janko Kevic led their offense in key minutes. Not even sold out hall in Bitola and great fans were on Wednesday evening enough for Eurofarm to turn things around.
Tomislav Severec scored five for Nexe while Janko Kevic added four. Lovro Jotic led Eurofarm with five.
