EHF EURO 2020, Day 14: one SEHA country booked semi-finals tickets
(Group I) Croatia - Spain 22:22 (11:12)
Croatia have ended the EHF EURO 2020 Main round with a draw against Spain. this way, they remained unbeaten and proceeded to the semi-finals from the second place in Group I. In the first half the teams were close result wise, but Spain increased their advantage in the second one. But, in the end Croatia managed to make a few-goals series and tie. They even had a chance for victory but Domagoj Duvnjak missed the last shot. Marin Sipic netted three times in this match while Zlatko Horvat netted twice for Croatia.
(Group II) Portugal - Hungary 34:26 (16:14)
The EHF EURO 2020 adventure has come to an end for Hungary. In their last Main round match, they were defeated by Portugal 26:34. In the end, with 2 victories and 3 losses they secured 5th place in Group II which was not enough for a spot in the semi-finals.
(Group I) Belarus - Austria 36:36 (19:17)
Belarus also said goodbye to the competition as they finished Group I also on the 5th position. In their last match, they ended up splitting points with one of the hosts, Austria, who also did not book the ticket for semi-finals. Just like it was the case in the previous matches, Mikita Vailupau was once again the best scorer with 12 goals. Andrei Yurynok and Viachaslau Shumak netted one each.
