EHF EURO 2020, Day 4: tough clashes behind Ukraine and North Macedonia
Day 4 of the EHF EURO 2020 featured clashes of two SEHA League countries in Group B. Ukraine met with Austria, while North Macedonia played against Czech Republic.
(Group B) Czech Republic - North Macedonia 27:25 (9:11)
Another tough clash is behind North Madeconia who did not continue the winning streak at the EHF EURO 2020. In their second match, Czech Republic was better with a 27:25 end result. It was a tight action for the most part of the match. Macedonians were more successful in the first half as they went on half-time break with two goals advantage. In the second one, Czech Republic showed more concentration and precision and secured points for themselves. In this match Dejan Manaskov scored 5 goals while Stojanche Stoilov scored one for North Macedonia.
(Group B) Austria - Ukraine 34:30 (18:17)
Ukraine still haven't managed to secure points at the EHF EURO 2020. In their second clash in Group B, Austria were better with 34:30 result. For the majority of the match, teams were pretty close result-wise. In the 53rd minute, the scoreboard was showing 29:29 but after that Austria made 4:0 series after which Ukraine did not have a chance to make a comeback. Despite the loss, Artem Kozakevych showed great skills on the court and scored 7 for Ukraine. Stanislav Zhukov also made a huge impact with 6 goals. Vladyslav Ostroushko netted 4 times, Dmytro Doroshchuk netted 3 times while Olexandr Shevelev added one more goal for Ukraine.
