Spartak have a young team and they are playing good handball. However, it’s hard to compete with such a young team. We rotated a lot today and now we’re turning towards games versus Veszprem and Meshkov. Two tough matches are ahead of us but the one we’ll focus on more will be against Meshkov where we’ll do everything to come out on top.

Darko Stojnic, PPD Zagreb player:
We were playing with full strength despite of the fact they came here with a rejuvenated roster. We’re now turning towards upcoming challenges and I believe that we might be able to come out on top against Veszprem and Meshkov in case we deliver a good performance on the defensive side of the ball.

Vladislav Kosmodemyansky, Spartak coach:
Today we arrived here with even more young players than last time. We weren’t able to cope with Zagreb today, not even in opening ten minutes. Physically we were simply not on their level, especially in one-on-one pieces. That was clearly visible and we’ll clearly have to work on it.

Danil Dmitrijev, Spartak player:
Tough game for us, physical. However, overall it was a good experience. One we can learn from definitely.
