Mikita Vailupau scores 14 as Meshkov celebrate in Bitola
Despite of arriving in Bitola with what is almost their second team Meshkov Brest have managed to secure another SEHA win defeating Eurofarm Rabotnik 35:32. Meshkov’ back Mikita Vailupau continued with terrific regional league outings scoring incredible 14 goals from only 17 attempts. Belarusian champs have with this victory climbed the group standings and are now second with nine points. Eurofarm also have nine but are going through a tough period and a series of a few defeats in a row.
Meshkov’ reserves have today in Bitola proved they have the potential to become first-team players for the team from Brest. The tempo they were playing with today was simply something hosts were not able to cope with.
Match was decided in the beginning of the second half when guests stormed off to 19:23 playing quick and taking good shots. Hosts were able to cut the gap a little on a few occasions but it was obvious the deal has already been sealed in this one. Another problem for Eurofarm might be Neven Stjepanovic’ injury who went down with a little over 15 minutes left on the clock and had to be taken to the hospital for further examination.
Lovro Jotic scored eight for Eurofarm while Goce Ojleski netted six. Vailupau led scorers in this one with 14.
In the next round Eurofarm will travel to Sabac to meet Metaloplastika and Meshkov will welcome PPD Zagreb.
