(Pukhouski 6, Jaanimaa 4 / Dibirov 6, Atman 5, Kristopans 5)
David Jose Pisonero, Vardar coach:
During the first half we did not feel like we were playing our game. Unfortunately, there was a vast number of mistakes. We had some problems with defense. To be sincere, we did not expect to lose this match in Zaporozhye, though we expected very tough match here. Gennadiy Komok’s performance turned out to be a great basis for confidence of the whole opponent's team. Field players accompanied him rather well, there upon Motor Zaporozhye succeeded.
Daniil Shishkarev, Vardar player:
In certain aspects our play was really bad today. Defeat against Motor Zaporozhye came unexpectedly. Of course, we could say that the absence of some key players had a part in this defeat, nevertheless we expected to secure 3 points in this match. The positive thing is that in our upcoming matches we will be extra motivated.
Mykola Stepanets, Motor Zaporozhye coach:
The match deserved to end with a tie. We were fighting against reigning SEHA - Gazprom League champions and EHF Champions League winners. It was a true champions’ game. We introduced the SEHA - Gazprom League in the best possible way to our fans. For sure, it was one-of-a-kind acquaintance. I hope all our next matches will attract attention of much greater number of people.
Zakhar Denysov, Motor Zaporozhye player:
Because of this match, each of the teams got the chance to see their play from another angle. From this very point, such matches are extremely useful. Handball fortune smiled at us today. I hope we have succeeded in surprising Vardar, and will be lucky enough to extend the winning SEHA - Gazprom League streak.
