Vardar to play at the 2019 IHF Super Globe
Five times SEHA – Gazprom League champions, Vardar, are going to be a part of the IHF Super Globe. As the 2019 EHF Champions League winners, Vardar will play at the tournament for the second time, following their 2017 appearance when they finished 3rd.
The competition is going to be held for the first time in Saudi Arabia and is going to have participants from 6 continents.
The 10 teams that will be a part of the 2019 IHF Super Globe are:

Vardar (North Macedonia)
Al-Duhail (Qatar)
Zamalek SC (Egypt)
Handebol Taubate (Brazil)
New York City Team Handball (USA)
Sydney University Handball Club (Australia)
Al Mudhar (Saudi Arabia)
THW Kiel (Germany)
Besides the list of participants, schedule for the thirteenth edition of the IHF Super Globe is confirmed.
Because of the tournament expanding to feature 10 teams, there will be an extra round of qualification. It will start on the 27th August with two quarter-final qualification matches and on the 28th August there will be four quarterfinals. The winners of the quarter-finals will proceed to the semi-finals, while the remaining teams will compete for the places 5-10 on the 29th August. The semi-finals will also be played on the 29th August, before the rest day for teams to play for medals. On the 30th August, there will be two placement matches. The last placement matches will be played on the 31st August as well as the medal matches.
