It's official: Marin Sipic signs a three-year contract with PPD Zagreb!
After two fantastic seasons with Nexe, the young Croatian pivot will wear the PPD Zagreb's jersey starting from next season. Marin Sipic signed a three-year deal with the Croatian champions and will be the third line player to join PPD Zagreb this summer, as Kristian Beciri and Darko Stojnic already agreed to join the club.
Sipic spent the last two years playing excellent handball in Nasice, especially enjoying success last season in the EHF Cup, and this season in the SEHA – Gazprom League. The 23-year old played with Nexe at the SEHA Final 4 in Brest, winning the 4th place, and was also voted in the Best 7 of the 2018/19 season in the SEHA – Gazprom League. In 33 SEHA appearances over the past two years, Sipic recorded 114 goals (55 in 2017/18, 59 in 2018/19) for Nexe, which is the most out of all line players since the start of the 2017/18 season.
Sipic also shined with the Croatian national team at the World Championship in Germany and Denmark and won gold at the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona in 2018. Marin is one of the first players to come out the excellent Balic-Metlicic Academy from Split, and has been proving his talent with every new match. It is a big signing for PPD Zagreb, especially knowing that Tin Kontrec and Senjamin Buric are set to leave the club in the summer.
