Krok and Butorac combine for 15 as Tatran sail past PPD Zagreb
PPD Zagreb once again failed to take points back home from Presov, Slovakia suffering a tough 31:21 loss against the home-team on Tuesday evening. 'Lions' decided to travel to Presov without nine first-team players and the loss appeared to be inevitable from the very first minute as Tatran started building the advantage early. Plus six (16:10) after the first, plus ten (31:21) in the end and three new points for Tatran who have with this win managed to climb the standings and overtake Vardar's third position at least for now as Macedonians have the chance to take it back tomorrow hosting Izvidjac Ljubuski.
Bruno Butorac dominated the court scoring nine from ten attempts, Dominik Krok added six while Chupryna and Cvitkovic combined for 13 saves. Josip Eres finished the match with eight for Zagreb while Josip Bozic Pavletic, Senjamin Buric and Gregor Potocnik netted three each for guests.
In the next round PPD Zagreb will host NEXE and Tatran will welcome Steaua.
