Razgor: "NEXE players were more motivated to win"
Meshkov Brest - NEXE 25:30 (13:14)
(Kulak 4, Djordjic 4 / Vozab 9, Jaganjac 7)
Hrvoje Horvat, NEXE coach:
Prior to the match I told my players that in case we want to celebrate here we'll have to play our best handball and that's exactly what we did today. We were fully focused throughout the full course of the match which helped us seal the deal in this one. Guys fulfilled all the tasks I set before them out there on the court.
Aljaz Lavric, NEXE player:
We delivered a quality outing, primarily on the defensive side of the court maintaining full focus throughout the full course of the match. We believed in ourselves from the very beginning. Huge three points for us in the end as we make additional step towards F4 tournament.
Manolo Cadenas, Meshkov Brest coach:
I guess NEXE wanted this win more than we did as they outperformed us on both sides of the court. Our second-half performance was really poor and this is overall a tough, painful loss for us. We must analyze this and prepare in the best possible way for Barcelona.
Simon Razgor, Meshkov Brest player:
It's not easy to find words after a match like this. We wanted to come out victorious, especially after a poor finish against Vardar in the Champions League but it felt like NEXE were better motivated and more willing to do everything in their power in order to win this one. We must detect what's wrong and work on improving ahead of what will be a far from easy match against Barcelona.
