As the most successful SEHA - Gazprom League team in last seven seasons, reigning champions Vardar will surely look to prolong the winning series on Tuesday when they will in their Jane Sandanski sports hall  (20.15 CET) welcome Zeleznicar Nis. Match will be broadcasted on MRT (Macedonia), Sport 1 (Slovenia), Sport klub (Poland) as well as Arena Sport channels.

This will be the second time for Serbian vice-champions to play in Macedonia in the last three weeks after taking part on Struga tournament in August finishing fourth. Macedonians are clear favorites in this one but Veselin Vujovic and his players will most definitely look to deliver a better performance than against Vojvodina in Round 1.

Vardar are still dealing with injury problems. Apart from Igor Karacic and Vuko Borozan, and Stojance Stoilov who all missed the season opener against Metalurg, coach Parrondo still doesn’t know if he’ll be able to count on Sergey Gorbok on Tuesday after he suffered a knee injury in Macedonian derby.

Roberto Garcia Parrondo, Vardar coach:

We’ll surely look to deliver a better performance against Zeleznicar than against Metalurg in the first round. Our main goal is to rise from match to match in order to reach the best possible form ahead of Champions League challenges. I believe both Igor Karacic and Vuko Borozan will play against Zeleznicar but of course we’ll look to slowly ease them into our game.

Timur Dibirov, Vardar player:

Matches against teams led by Veselin Vujovic are always quite interesting and tense and I expect nothing less from this one. I believe we'll get better with time. We really need to use these match in order to improve our form, give at least 10% more each time we step out there. Goal is to avoid ups and downs in our game and be able to keep the tempo high throughout the full course of the match.

Veselin Vujovic, Zeleznicar coach:

Vardar are clear favorites in this one of course but I expect my players to play a good game and restore self-confidence. It's obvious we'll need some more time to get everything to function the way we want it to. We're traveling to Macedonia without Predrag Vejin. Goalkeeper Danilo Mihaljevic and Marko Knezevic will be there but are also dealing with injury problems. Matches in Skopje are always something special for me – their amazing fans, beautiful hall, quality opponent and after all a city where I've spent almost six years. I'm looking forward to seeing some of my old friends but of course I am primarily focused on Zeleznicar and our performance on Tuesday.

Vardar have one of the best teams in Europe despite the fact they went through a lot of roster changes during the summer. We're however focused on ourselves and our performance so we'll definitely do everything we can in order to deliver our best handball on Tuesday.
