Dinamo's Stefan Saponjic to continue his career in Novi Pazar
After 4 years in Dinamo, the pivotman Saponjic will join the new member of the Serbian Super League- HC Novi Pazar. He was one of Dinamo's key players in their first ever season in the SEHA – Gazprom League.
The 22-year old is the second player to leave Dinamo this season, after Pavle Banduka joined the new vice-champions Zeleznicar from Nis. Saponjic scored 48 goals in 18 appearances in the 2017/2018 season, and was often a very important piece of their offensive setup. He helped Dinamo win the 9th place, recording 2 wins and 3 draws in 18 matches. One of Saponjic's best matches was in Skopje against the champions Vardar in a losing effort, when he scored 8 goals in 8 attempts.
Saponjic's new club is Novi Pazar, a team that won the Serbian B Super League and won a place in the strongest domestic competition in Serbia. Their ambitions in the upcoming season are definitely going to be high, and Saponjic is a very interesting signing. It remains to be seen how Dinamo's roster will look in the upcoming season, but the club has not confirmed any other signings or departures!
