Presenting Metalurg
Metalurg will once again enter the season with a rejuvenated squad full of home-grown players combined with useful reinforcements in order to keep the quality level high. Lino Cervar will not change a thing in Metalurg' mindset which serves as a great example of how Macedonian handball can and will move forward with an exception of Vardar of course which has managed to catch the European throne.
Departures were once again a big thing with Marcec, Jusufinedzhad, Mladenovic, Pecenkovski and Vejin deciding to leave the team. Neloski is still a free-agent and it is still not clear how will the saga of Obradovic' transfer to Wisla end. However, Cervar has once again managed to strenghten team's core making it rather competitive signing Slovenian left back from PSG Janus Lapajne, playmakers Bozo Andjelic and Luka Stojanovic as well as Croatian right winger Ante Tokic. Youngsters Silegov, Tankoski, Dimitrioski and Lazarevski will also join the team along with goalkeeper Danilovski who is returning along with back Dimitrievski.
With experienced key players like Arsic, Ilic, Gugleta, Kuzmanovski, Velkoski, Pesevski, Petrov and Tomoski there is no doubt team from 'Avtokomanda' will once again play modern, fast-flowing handball. In the last few seasons they were not able to catch the final tournament, they've even missed one season but what is good is that it is all behind them now and that's what makes them a whole lot stronger although first look might not suggest that.
