NEXE host Metalurg in direct sixth position battle
Borba za šestu poziciju u Našicama
NEXE will on Tuesday (19.00 CET) in Nasice host Metalurg in a match which will be the last one in the regular part of the season for both teams and which will by that directly determine who will finish on sixth position. NEXE's chance of reaching that place is a win over Metalurg, as they are now two points behind the team from Skopje, and Izvidjac' win at home against Gorenje. Metalurg, on the other side, need at least a point to end up placed behind the top 5. Matches between these two opponents are always tough and narrow - the latest proof is their premier match of the season in Skopje which finished with a 25:25 draw.
Hrvoje
Horvat, NEXE coach:
Of course we are interested in reaching sixth
position and Metalurg are our direct rivals. They are a very tough and compact
team so we must keep the focus high throughout all 60 minutes. Ante Gadza will
not be available for this one as he tore his ACL in our last match and I hope
he'll be back on track as soon as possible. I hope fans will come and support
us making a good atmosphere like they did in our previous encounters.
Marin
Sakic, NEXE player:
I am sure it will be a very good match. We've
already played them in Skopje and our rosters remained pretty much the same
since then. I believe in this team and in our fans.
Lino
Cervar, Metalurg coach:
This will be our last SEHA Gazprom regular
season match this season. NEXE are an excellent team, multiple Croatian
vice-champions and we'll play them on their court. It is always hard to face
them and I expect this match to be no different - interesting and uncertain.
Nemanja
Obradovic, Metalurg player:
There are no favorites in this match so I expect
an interesting and uncertain match in which we're hoping to reach victory.
However, there will be not win burden on our shoulders in this one.
