Celje PL ready to put in F4 work in the clash against Metalurg
After their away adventure in Brest, where Meshkov defeated them 30:26, Metalurg are all set to begin a new tour around Slovenia and Slovakia. Team led by Lino Cervar will try to challenge favorites in Celje, where home team will have to win points on their way to SEHA Final4 (Thursday, 20.00 CET). Task will be even more difficult as team from Skopje will travel to Slovenia without team's captain and first gun - Filip Taleski. However, Branko Tamse and his guys won't underestimate Macedonian vice-champions who have already proved they can be dangerous for anyone. In their first encounter of the season in Skopje, Celje Pivovarna Lasko have managed to reach 25:23.
Branko Tamse, Celje
Pivovarna Lasko coach:
I am expecting another
tough match in SEHA Gazprom League against Metalurg. Macedonians tend not to leave
anything to coincidence. Surely, they will come to Celje highly motivated and
will try to win the match here. On the other side, we will of course do
everything in our power to defend hall Zlatorog, although we are facing a lack
of time. We will have only one training and one chance for analyzing opponents
and this time we will have to work on preparing best we can. On Thursday we
will fight for three new points and that is the main goal for this match.
David Razgor, Celje
Pivovarna Lasko playmaker:
We have to forget about
the match we’ve already played against them in Skopje a few weeks ago. Then
they’ve had quite a few problems with injuries and with some players which are
back in the squad they are now a much stronger team. That is why I am expecting
much harder match. We will have to show very good performance to be able to
count on new three points.
Lino Cervar, Metalurg coach:
Zarko Pesevski. Metalurg player:
Celje are a great team which has already managed to beat us in Skopje so now we'll try to take revenge. First part of the season is slowly coming to an end and we're all getting less focused but I hope we'll manage to deliver good performance and maybe even hope for it to give us a chance to get back to Slovenian champions.
