Three of SEHA Gazprom League’s four participants in EHF Champions League Last 14 phase have managed to find their way through to quarter-finals with MVM Veszprem, Vardar and PPD Zagreb booking their place among best 8 teams in Europe at the moment! Meshkov Brest were on the other side once again close to stunning favored opponents but that unfortunately did not happen and their Champions League adventure will, for this season, end in eighth finals.

After losing with -4 against Vive Tauron Kielce at home Meshkov have managed to step their game up a bit but -3 (33:30) was as close as they could get to favored Polish side in their reverse away fixture. Rastko Stojković was once again leading Meshkov with 7 goals, Baranau and Kristopans have scored 5 each.

After +5 in Ukraine MVM Veszprem have booked their quarter-final place dominantly in front of their fans in Veszprem Arena with 41:28 reaching Last 8 with sum of +18 which is the biggest difference of all eighth-final pairs. Nilsson was leading the way with 7, Palmarsson added 6, Ilić 5. In quarter-finals they are waiting for Vardar meaning that SEHA Gazprom League will once again most certainly have a representative on EHF Champions League’s Final Four in Cologne!

Vardar have, after a draw in Plock, Poland managed to take a narrow +1 (25:24) victory in front of their fans in ‘Jane Sandaski’ sports hall in Skopje. Šterbik was remarkable between bars and Toskić unstoppable with 8 goals. Karačić and Dujshebaev have added 4 each. In Last 8 phase they will face off against MVM Veszprem playing first match at home.

PPD Zagreb were in charge of the biggest surprise of eighth-finals round knocking German Rhein Neckar Löwen out of the competition despite of losing the home fixture with -1, mostly due to a terrific second-half performance from Mannheim and 29:31.  Great team-performance, remarkable defense led by amazing Stevanović on goal with Šebetić and Vujić scoring 5 goals each. They will look to book a place on F4 in Cologne in a duel against French Paris Saint Germain playing first fixture at home.

Other two quarter-final pairs are THW Kiel - Barcelona and Flensburg - Kielce.
