Top 5 players in assists of the 7th SEHA season
We all know who the top 5 scorers were, but now it is time to appreciate the best playmakers, and the players who provide the goal-scorers with the key passes. Meet the players with the most assists in the 7th season of the SEHA – Gazprom League!
1. Petar Zujovic (Dinamo)
Even though Dinamo was in the bottom 2 in their first ever SEHA – Gazprom League season, they still had some very impressive moments. Petar Zujovic was their leader both on and off the court, and he showed it with his terrific playmaking efforts. A total of 57 assists for the veteran means he tops the assists charts in the 17/18 season.
2. Bruno Butorac (Tatran Presov)
Second in goals, second in assists. What a season Bruno Butorac has had! Originally a right wing, but spent majority of the season playing as a right back, and Slavko Goluza was not wrong for trusting him. Butorac had some fantastic passes this season, 51 assists for him.
3. Martin Velkovski (Metalurg)
Velkovski is a very underrated player, and he showed it game in and game out this season. Being top 3 in assists is a terrific accomplishment, especially when doing it without being the centre of offense for Metalurg, as those roles were occupied by Kuzmanovski and Jaganjac. Velkovski recorded 45 assists this season!
4. Filip Kuzmanovski (Metalurg)
The young Metalurg captain has just one assists less than his teammate Velkovski- 44. Majority of them were for Halil Jaganjac, who scored 100 goals this season. Kuzmanovski was ‘on fire’ in the second part of the season. He made a huge step forward this season!
5. Dzmitry Nikulenkau (Meshkov Brest)
For years, Nikulenkau has been the centre of creativity for Meshkov Brest. He is in Top 5 in assists on the all-time SEHA – Gazprom League list, and he once again brought the magic with 43 assists in the 17/18 season. He has the ability to make a key pass in any given moment.
