Domagoj Pavlovic departs for MT Melsungen
PPD Zagreb’s star player - Domagoj Pavlovic is going to join the Bundesliga team MT Melsungen in the summer, the club confirmed. Pavlovic spent 4 years playing at PPD Zagreb, appearing at the SEHA – Gazprom League Final 4 each season. He also became a member of the Croatian national team, confirming his status as one of the most talented players we have in handball.
‘My long time wish was to play in the Bundesliga, to get a clearer picture of how much I’m worth as a handball player. Melsungen is a well-organised club, and my national team colleague Marino Maric is going to help me with the adaptation process. I want to thank Zagreb on four wonderful years, and I wish my teammates all the best in the next season', said Pavlovic for the club’s website.
Pavlovic recorded 146 goals and 58 assists in 48 SEHA – Gazprom League appearances for PPD Zagreb. He is 3rd on their all-time assist leader list, only behind Josip Valcic and Zlatko Horvat. Even though he had a lot of troubles with injuries in his career, the 25-year old has undoubtedly been one of PPD Zagreb’s key players in recent times, and will be heavily missed.
