It's time for National Team Week!
Handball action in April starts with national team gatherings. Many SEHA players are going to be involved during that week, for example, 10 of them playing for Slovenia. Here is a short preview for what is ahead.
Team Croatia is traveling to Sweden to face the hosts twice. Horvat, Bozic-Pavletic, Pavlovic (all PPD Zagreb), Jaganjac (Metalurg), Cindric and Karacic (Vardar) are representing SEHA – Gazprom League this April. Lino Cervar is still the national team head coach, and will hope to get some good performances of his team on the 5th and 7th of April against Sweden.
10 players are representing SEHA – Gazprom League for Slovenia. Verdinek, Potocnik, Medved and Ferlin are coming from Gorenje Velenje. Mlakar, Lesjak, Mackovsek, Malus and Suholeznik are representing the Slovenian champions Celje PL and Urh Kastelic is PPD Zagreb's man playing for Slovenia.
Slovenia is going to play two matches against Belarus, another SEHA country. Andrey Yurinok, Dzianis Rutenka, Maksim Baranau, Pavel Darafeyeu, Siarhei Shylovich, Dzmitry Nikulenkau are all representing Meshkov Brest during this Team Week. They travel to Slovenia and play two matches- on the 7th and 8th of April.
Slovakian team is going to Germany for the upcoming national team week. Slovakian missed the EHF EURO 2018, but they have 2 Tatran Presov players in their national team selection. Lukas Urban and Dominik Krok found their place in the newest roster. Martin Stranovsky, who is joining Tatran Presov in the summer, is also there.
Serbian national team list has 5 SEHA players on its list. Vanja Ilic (Metalurg), Janja Vojvodic, Mijajlo Marsenic (Vardar), Svetislav Verkic and Milan Jovanovic (Vojvodina) are the 5 names that the new national team head coach Ljubomir Obradovic selected for the upcoming gathering. They are playing two matches against Germany, on the 4th and 7th of April, a true test for this sqaud!
Vardar's head caoch Raul Gonzalez announced the Macedonian national selection with many players coming from the SEHA – Gazprom League. 5 players are coming from Metalurg: Tomovski, Velkovski, Serafimov, Kuzmanovski, Peshevski. Apart from Gonzalez, Stojanche Stoilov and Martin Popovski are representing Vardar. The Macedonians are playing against Russia during the EHF national team week.
